Convex Source Support and Its Application to Electric Impedance Tomography

چکیده
In this talk we extend the concept of the convex scattering support to the case of electrostatics in a bounded domain. Furthermore, we apply this approach to devise a new reconstruction algorithm in electric impedance tomography. The convex scattering support was developed by Stephen Kusiak and John Sylvester, cf. [3],[4], and is meant to be the smallest convex set that contains a scattering source compatible with some given data of the scattered wave. To transfer this concept to the case of electrostatics, we consider the Poisson equation in a bounded domain D ⊂ R2 with a natural boundary condition, i.e., ∆u = F in D, ∂u ∂ν = 0 on ∂D, ∫

Seismic Crosshole Tomography and Nonlinear Constrained Optimization
When an inverse problem can be formulated so the data are minima of one of the variational problems of mathematical physics, feasibility constraints can be found for the nonlinear inversion problem. These constraints guarantee that optimal solutions of the inverse problem lie in the convex feasible region of the model space. Furthermore, points on the boundary of this convex region can be found...
متن کاملFast EIT data acquisition system with active electrodes and its application to cardiac imaging.
A wide-band high-speed data acquisition system for electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is described. 32 active electrodes are used in the system, half of them as receive electrodes and the other half as drive electrodes. A buffer is mounted on the back of each receive electrode and a current source on each drive electrode. A multielectrode system with active electrodes was built to make it co...
متن کاملApplication Flatness Technique for Intelligent Control of a New Electric Energy Source
In this paper, an intelligent control strategy based on combination of the “flatness based control technique” and the “perturbation and observation (P&O) MPPT algorithm” is developed and investigated to control a hybrid electric energy source (HEPS). This EHPS is composed of a fuel cell system (FC) and a solar panel (SP), as the main source and a supercapacitor bank (SC), as the auxiliary sourc...
متن کاملLocating Anisotropies in Electrical Impedance Tomography
In this article, the following electrical impedance tomography problem (EIT) is considered: On the surface of a body with unknown impedance distribution, one applies a set of prescribed electric currents and measures the corresponding voltages on the surface. From this information, one seeks to estimate the internal structure of the body. Potential application areas of the EIT range from medica...
متن کاملCurrent Conveyor Based Wide-band Current Driver for Electrical Impedance Tomography
Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) for prostate and breast cancer detection require wide-band ac current drivers which can deliver current up to 10MHz. The current drivers should exhibit low harmonic distortion and provide accurate current to the tissue being examined. This work presents an integrated current driver which can deliver 1.2mA of current up to frequencies of 10MHz. The current s...
